SIE Partner

The Social Innovation Europe initiative (SIE) represents a major effort to build and streamline the social innovation field in Europe. The project is run by a consortium of partners including Euclid Network and the Danish Technological Institute and led by the Social Innovation Exchange (SIX). Funded by the European Commission’s DG Enterprise, the SIE initiative will run over 2 years from January 2011 until December 2012 and will work to connect policy makers, entrepreneurs, academics and third sector workers with other innovators from across Europe. It is our goal to become a hub—a meeting place in the network of European networks—where innovative thinkers from all 27 member states can come together to create a streamlined, vigorous social innovation field in Europe, to raise a shared voice, and to propel Europe to lead the practice of social innovation globally.

The European Business Ethics Network EBEN, founded in 1987 as a non-profit association, is a cross-national network dedicated to the promotion of business ethics, broadly defined, in academia, business, public sector and civil society.

Our mission is to promote ethics and excellence in businesses, to increase awareness about ethical challenges in the global marketplace and to enable dialogue on the role of business in society. We work together to stimulate and facilitate meeting of minds by organizing fora, conferences and publications

Our network members include academics, practitioners and representatives from NGO's and the public sector. The diversity of membership of EBEN (from more than 50 countries in 2011) means that there are many varied views within the group about business ethics. Chair for Ethics and Financial Norms

University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, a descendant of the Sorbonne and the Faculty of Law and Economics of Paris, is one of the largest universities in France today. It has a reach history of eight hundred years of excellence to build on, the over forty thousand students are enrolled in 14 teaching and research departments and 5 Institutes. Its commitment to innovation in the latest field led to the commencement of Chair for Ethics and Financial Norms.

It was cofounded in 2011, both Presidents of King Abdulaziz University and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, together with Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Al Anqari, Ministry of Higher Education, signed an agreement for the creation of a joint Chair dedicated to research about ethics and financial norms.

The goal was to create a world leader through the partners of Islamic Economics Institute, home to the Journal of King Abdulaziz University — Islamic Economics (referenced by EconLit, JEL and SCOPUS) and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne also has an expertise in financial regulation through its founding contributions to both the CNRS European Research Group in "Money-Banking-Finance", which features an "Islamic Finance" subgroup, and the "Financial Regulation" Excellence Lab.

Casa Árabe and its International Institute for Arab and Muslim World Studies

Casa Árabe and its International Institute of Arab and Muslim World Studies is a consortium created on July 2006 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and the Spanish Agency for International Development, the autonomous communities of Madrid and Andalusia and the town councils of Madrid and Cordoba.

It is chaired by the Foreign Affairs and Cooperation minister, and the presidents of the Andalusian and Madrid regional Governments and the majors of Madrid and Cordoba are deputy presidents. Its High Board of Trustees is presided over by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain.

The main goals of Casa Árabe, with headquarters in Madrid and Cordoba, are to strengthen bilateral and multilateral policies, to contribute to mutual knowledge and to promote economical, trade, tourist, cultural and educational relations, as well as supporting the development of training and research promotion on the Arab and Muslim world.
